Let's face it no-one hires a coach like me unless they think that they have an issue of some kind, and one of the commonest issues that people present to me is their shortage of self-confidence.
You would be amazed if I gave you the names of some of the people that come to see me stating that they lack self-confidence. These are people who appear to have achieved success in a number of ways, people who hold senior positions in their organizations, people who one would think are in content and stable partnerships.
Yet they think that they lack the confidence to reach all of which they are capable. "If I just felt a bit more confident I'm sure I could achieve much more," they are saying.
Usually when we get down to cases we find they have a normal level of self-confidence in some areas like, say, coping with aggressive people, but lack confidence in other areas like, possibly public presenting.
This is the common feature of people who say that they lack self-confidence - what you find is that their confidence comes and goes according to the circumstances in which they find themselves.
Simply by helping them to triumph over their lack of confidence in the few areas in which they feel they've got an issue one can easily improve their all-round self-confidence.
And that is the secret that you must learn to master if you feel that you are not achieving all that you suspect yourself capable of in your private life and career.
You will find a useful exercise in my handbook Self-Confidence Made Simple, available from the link on my web site, that might help you to clarify the areas that might be constraining you and free you to release your actual potential and achieve all the financial success you desire.
