Everyone is probably familiar with films that would come from Pixar or Disney that would make use of 3d animation. Although everyone is pretty much familiar with 3d animation toronto because it has been around for quite some time, not many people actually know how the phenomenon started. Now just to give an idea to people, here is a timeline on the history of this type of animation.

Now if one does not know how these types of animations are made, basically the animators would put together a bunch of three dimensional objects to create a figure. Now they would then try to make the 3d figure move in order for them to create a movie or film. Of course either physical objects or digital objects may be used.

Now the pioneer of all three dimensional animations would be none other than the classic stop motion. Stop motion is also known as claymation and it is the act of using clay figures in order to make a short film or movie. Basically, one would take pictures of clay figures doing various poses and putting them together in order to make a movie.

Now to make a stop motion movie, one has to make a clay figure and have the small clay figure assume a particular pose. Once that is done, one will now take a picture of the figure that is posing and then make it do another pose then do it again. Now once he has gotten a lot of pictures of poses, then he should now put them in the order that he took them and make the figure move.

Now stop motion or claymation was the in thing at that time but it was extremely hard to do because it took up so much time. Now with the popularization of computers, graphic artists were able to create three dimensional images using graphics. Two of the most famous computer artists at that time were Frederic Parke who created the first three dimensional face and Edwin Catmull who create the first three dimensional hand. Together, they were the ones who made the graphics for the movie Futureworld.

Now during the seventies to the nineties, many movies made use of this type of animated objects in order to create some special effects. Some examples would actually be the Star Wars trilogy from the seventies and Jurassic Park from the nineties. They were able to convert raw three dimensional animations into realistic moving objects for their own movies.

Of course in the year 1995, the very first 3d animated movie, which was Toy Story, came out. This is one of the films that revolutionized the film industry because never in history was there such a film that could be made purely out of three dimensional animations. From there, many types of similar films came out.

Because of technology, one can see these types of animations almost anywhere. Now the place that is really known for creative and skillful computer artists would of course be Toronto, Ontario. Many great computer artists have come from this place as it is known to have a lot of great people who are in this profession.
