Modern technology has advanced to the point that readers can now access most if not all the books they are interested in online. Regardless of genre, lovers of literature can immerse themselves in a wide variety of fictional worlds created by literary artists. The same can be said for Christian fiction ebooks. They are now readily available in digital form for all to access.

Reading is a hobby that is found among Christians to pretty much the same extent that it is found in the rest of the world. There is really nothing that prevents Christians, from having a deep love and appreciation for fictional writing. Writers of books in this category help to satisfy the thirst that these religious literature fans have for the written word.

Just like the world in which they live, Christians have become modernized. Many of them have joined online forums for persons who share their interests. Additionally the convenience of technology is appreciated by modern Christians. Like others in today's technology driven environment, Christians will of course love the fact that they can access thousands of books while sitting in their offices or homes or even if they are on the move.

This means that today's Christians will no doubt relish the idea of traveling with an entire collection of books on one device. This would allow them to use down time enjoyed at gatherings such as retreats and conventions to get lost in a good book.

Many of these virtual books are inexpensive to acquire. A lot of them are available free of cost. In these cases, all that is required is for the reader to download the book to their computer or tablet. They can then easily move with an entire virtual library of Christianity based fictional works wherever they go. This would include moments at retreats, and conventions that would have otherwise been idle moments.

The rise of these virtual novels has opened a world of opportunities for Christian authors. These writers get the opportunity to practice and hone their skills while maintaining their Christianity. In addition, they get the opportunity to earn a living doing what they love, writing.

Constant immersion in fictional worlds that are in tandem with Christian principles serves to strengthen a believer's resolve to remain true to the faith. It goes without saying that the opposite is true for secular fiction, especially those that fall within genres such as romance. This is why these works may be seen as healthy and in fact necessary for members of the faith.

The books serve as inspiration for those who are not yet members of the faith. In this light they may be viewed as evangelism tools and, in fact, many writers view themselves as literary evangelists. They serve a similar purpose for current Christians as well. For those who are already Christians, the plots and characters in these stories as well as the issues explored help to keep them firmly grounded in their beliefs.
