Chocolate addiction might be considered flimsy at most by a lot of people. After all, who isn't in love with chocolate? It's sinfully rich and creamy decadence is an addiction than anyone would gladly give in to. However, anything taken in excess is never good for anyone, and that includes chocolate. So here are a few tips for chocolate lovers around the world to help curb their insatiable chocolate addiction.

First, it would help if you begin by using empathy on yourself. Whatever one is experiencing, there has to be a reason to it, like the constant urge to take in chocolate all the time.

Second, you have to recognize that this is a problem which has to be stopped, not tomorrow, but today. Let yourself envision a brighter tomorrow if you let go of the shame that urges you to run for more chocolates. Embrace the brighter future and let your urge now be for your bright future.

Now let us ask ourselves why you have been acting so. Examine your feelings that triggers such undesired action.

There are many causes to this. Would it be due heartbreak, stress, depression, loneliness or boredom? Whatever it is, get a notebook and jot it down.

There might be probable reasons that triggered your addiction to chocolates. Try to think of them and jot them down and in this way you will feel better.

Monitor your feelings before and after you eat chocolate. It's important to do this consistently for a pre-planned period so you can have an accurate view of your chocolate addiction. Then you'll be able to take more concrete steps to curing yourself.

One can start by observing oneself within 1 month. Take note of the feelings carefully, the good and the bad, even feelings that cannot be identified as good or bad.
