A question that stirs thoughts of battle or losing in the minds of many. We are taught to live life to its fullest, to be dependent on ourselves, to conquer, to win, to overcome. If we are able to visualize or paint an image of the result we wish we can succeed. God's plan is quite the opposite. Learning how to surrender to God truly leads to a life of liberty.

It is the Holy Spirit that brings us to the cross and causes us to face the reality of our desire to die to the world and sin. We will be able to never live a life that is beyond our hopes till we have died to ourselves. Look at what a Dear Friend said pertaining to surrendering to God, "For me, this has been the best key to walking in joy, peace, and liberty is permitting Him to rid me of self (a life-time process)"

The joy of surrendering your life to God is something that you must experience yourself. No one can understand it. You have to experience what it means to surrender to God for yourself.

Surrender must come as a genuine response from your heart. Think of the issues you are at present wrestling with and then imagine I say to you, "Just surrender them to God and give Him control." My better half of TWENTY-SEVEN years died when she was only 51 years in age , and initially I was not ready to hear those words: "Just surrender everything to God and give Him control." Those words would have appeared cruel at that point in my life. Nevertheless as God graciously reminded me over time , surrender is what He would like from us. His want for my life is that I surrender to Him, giving Him total control. (With time, it also became just what I would have liked to do.)

Think how you are bearing the burdens of hurt, discomfort and emptiness in your life. God does not want you to live with those burdens. He would like for you to give Him each hurt, every agony, and every scenario you are going thru. There isn't anything in this world more vital or even more exciting than surrendering everything to God. Your surrendering to Him will lead to healing, alteration, and an abounding life, greater than you ever imagined practicable.

Trust in the LORD with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he'll make your paths straight.

Proverb 3:5-6 I encourage you to take advantage of our complimentary present, "God's Answer?" It will demonstrate how to live life through a power that will change your life. This journey of yours isn't about your abilities or capabilities or anything you can do to modify your life. It is about allowing the power of God to radically change you.
